Today I am breaking in a new pair of character shoes. mastersantiago has already made fun of me -- I'm wearing the character shoes with white socks, sweatpants and an orange t-shirt. Just half a day for me. I had a meeting in Fremont this morning with some engineers and lawyers -- always a fun mix. Then I headed back over the hill to put new tires on mastersantiago's car.

I know it's just because I hurt, but everything I write right now is just coming out whiny and stupid. I'll be back when I'm in a better mood.

I don't know how I did it, but I managed to throw my back out on Sunday -- this is definitely the worst back pain I've had in years. Usually I can traction myself back into shape, but this time it wasn't working. The Colorado project is a total mess and it's going to take most of my attention for the next couple of days to fix it. I know I owe correspondence and phone calls and stuff to many of you, but please be patient and I'll be back to normal (hopefully) in a couple of days.

This review isn't going terribly well and I am feeling more than a little paranoid. Plaintiffs' counsel, here doing the review, and our attorneys are fighting over details and I just sit in the middle, saying "no, you can't do that" a lot and hanging on to my email like a lifeline. Had a little trouble with my shot this morning and got a sort of burny red patch on my leg. It faded fairly quickly, though, but I'll have another bruise soon. My hands feel stiff, and although they don't look terribly swollen, my ring feels less loose than usual. I want this to be a psychosomatic reaction to backing down my meds.
